A lot of excitement on The Showdown this week – John featured Deerhoof in celebration of the imminent release of new album ‘Breakup Song’. Julian featured the classic Dave Douglas/Tiny Bell Trio album ‘Songs For Wandering Souls’. We discussed hype and how it affects one’s enjoyment of music, film, books, etc. And Julian wore an orange shirt… lucky, since the microphone he was using matched perfectly… phew.
