Curtis Stigers(pic.left) has a new album of great songs entitled‘Lets Go Out Tonight’ and has really found his niche. Its 40 years since Neil Young(pic.right) released the album ‘Harvest’ and to celebrate I have chosen two songs from that album together with two other classics interpreted by Lizz Wright,John Pizarelli(from his new album‘DoubleExposure’) and Natalie Merchant-also great music fom the just released Area 52 album from Rodrigo y Gabriela and C.U.B.A.The Drifters and Ben E King sing ‘This MagicMoment’‘which is featured in the current beer commercial for VB so I thought the original would bring some smiles to you all while you were getting into your cappucino’s or English breakfast tea’s-sad news with the passing of Andy Williams today-what a legacy he leaves!!!!See you on EastsideFM xx

About the Author: Love my music..anything with a great melody, arranged with either a BIG orchestra or a quality acoustic guitar......I enjoy passionate performances.. by the artiste(s) -that is always the main criteria for my choice of the tracks that make up the programme.....versions of great old songs and new songs that enable a response,a smile,a memory of a time and a place,to groove a little... ...many years of executive management in the entertainment business in NZ,Australia,Asia Pacific and New York enabled me to immerse myself in music and people....my two indulgences and I hope the music each week brings you some of the same responses.
