Last weeks show featured mainly so called Modern Soul recorded after the album-oriented soul revolution of the early 1970s but also some nice Crossover Soul, a genre that covers roughly the era from 1967 to 1973. But let’s leave aside all this genre nonsense and simply call it what it is – brilliant Soul music from it’s most productive and innovative period.
