Jess Ribeiro(pic.left) started singing at Charles Darwin University and spent time learning her craft at a private private jazz institute in Brisbane-it clearly worked and her album of original tracks with her band The Bone Collectors ‘My Little River’ is an absolute pleasure from start to finish and has something for everybody who loves GOOD music-she reminded me in part of Maria Muldaur(pic.right) who stunned us with ‘Midnight At The Oasis’ and has continued to delight with her energy and delivery-one could put this music into genres but I would prefer you to make your own mind up-the only genre I would put it in is that of GOOD music-which is what you always get on Eastsidefm’s ‘A Taste of Honey’-every Thursday from 9.00-10.30am-the music is selected for your pleasure so let me know what you think at stuart@eastsidefm.org……later!!!!!!

About the Author: Love my music..anything with a great melody, arranged with either a BIG orchestra or a quality acoustic guitar......I enjoy passionate performances.. by the artiste(s) -that is always the main criteria for my choice of the tracks that make up the programme.....versions of great old songs and new songs that enable a response,a smile,a memory of a time and a place,to groove a little... ...many years of executive management in the entertainment business in NZ,Australia,Asia Pacific and New York enabled me to immerse myself in music and people....my two indulgences and I hope the music each week brings you some of the same responses.
