Bruce Taper from sustainability consultant firm Kinesis discusses his Green Transformers initiative through the City of Sydney ’s plan to introduce local co-generation electrical plants in the city, a step that can be applied today to move forward in attaining zero emmissions.
Co-generation can also be aplied to existing coal smelters with little capital, yet achieve great gains in reducing emmissions, while more innovative technlogies develop in becoming commercially viable.
